Columbus/Enhanced

I had a great time in Columbus, which is a league leader in business growth, aiming to redouble its already substantial efforts. (The topic was economic development—which allowed me to focus on my SME Love Affair.) As usual, we immediately posted the slides here at tompeters.com.

However, a couple of days later I got to playing around with the slideset. As it was, I didn’t get through all the material—typical for me. Nonetheless, I’m now posting a “What if” version of the presentation—what if I’d had 120 minutes instead of 60?

Since this new slidedeck is also a “sorta summary” of The Excellence Dividend, I thought you might be interested.

Have at it, Columbus ENHANCED as of 6PM on 14 April 2018.

Note: WHILE I’VE BEEN ON BOOK TOUR—MOSTLY PODCASTS—I’VE BEEN ASKED OVER AND OVER TO EXPLAIN MY OBSESSION WITH THE “PEOPLE STUFF.” I USUALLY ANSWER, SNIPPILY, “WELL WHAT THE HELL ELSE IS THERE? ORGANIZATIONS, NO MATTER HOW MUCH TECHNOLOGY THEY USE, ARE NO MORE AND NO LESS THAN ‘PEOPLE SERVING PEOPLE.'” ON THIS TOPIC, CHECK OUT SLIDE #2, WHICH SAYS:

Given/Axiomatic …

(1)THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT MAKING ANY ORGANIZATION OF ANY SIZE IN ANY BUSINESS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK.
(2) EVERY LEADER HAS A MORAL OBLIGATION CIRCA 2018 TO DEVELOP PEOPLE SO THAT WHEN THEY LEAVE THEY ARE BETTER PREPARED FOR TOMORROW THAN THEY WERE WHEN THEY ARRIVED.

Over to you …
