David H. Freedman is the latest addition to our roster of Cool Friends. He’s a contributing editor and technology columnist at Inc. magazine, and he’s also written for Newsweek, the New York Times, Atlantic Monthly, and Wired, among others. He got together with Eric Abrahamson, a professor of management at Columbia Business School, to write A Perfect Mess: The Hidden Benefits of Disorder—How Crammed Closets, Cluttered Offices, and On-the-Fly Planning Make the World a Better Place.
